WITH A BRAVE HEART, BUILD YOUR OWN BUSINESS
John Acain used to work as a mechanic from one car company to another, until one day, he decided to venture into opening his own shop. He named it as “Motolab Parts and Services,” located along Mahayahay Highway in Iligan City. Early on, a customer introduced him to the idea of becoming a co-op member. After attending the orientation seminar, John found the programs and benefits of MSU-IIT NMPC interesting, so joining was not a hard decision for him to make.
John has been an active member of the co-op for five years already, reaping all the fruits of his hard work and labor. He availed personal and business loans to develop his shop and acquire the equipment he needed to upgrade Motolab into what it is now. From running their micro-enterprise, Acain and his wife Maria are able to send their two children to school and save up for the future with their deposits.
John is grateful for the opportunities provided by the co-op to maximize his skills and realize their dream of building their own business. With his drive for growth and his co-op’s help, he is now poised for further success in the future. For those who are still hesitant to start their own business, John advises: “They should not be afraid to do so because MSU-IIT NMPC is there to help you.”
